A super easy to make salad that is refreshing and delicious.

This cucumber salad is the ultimate refreshing side dish for warm days. With crisp cucumbers, a light dressing, and a hint of herbs, it’s simple, delicious, and ready in minutes. Perfect for barbecues, picnics, or as a cooling complement to spicy dishes, this salad adds a burst of freshness to any meal.

Even though the prep time is marked as 25 minutes, this salad really only takes 5 minutes to make. The other 20 minutes are needed to let the cucumbers sweat out moisture, so it’s basically free. Be sure to drain well your cucumbers after you rinse away the salt.

Cucumber salad

Avoid using other types of onion for the cucumber salad. Red onions are milder than others, so they are particularly good for eating raw or lightly pickled. Slice your onion very thinly to make sure the vinegar can soften its texture and flavor.
