Ingredients

  • lb chicken thighs
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp oil

Method

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. Add the cornstarch and mix well to coat the chicken.
  2. In a bowl, add the hoisin sauce, peanut butter, soy sauce, sesame oil and minced garlic, and mix well. Don't worry if there are small lumps of peanut butter; they will dissolve in the pan.
  3. Add the oil to a pan and fry the chicken for 5-7 minutes until golden.
  4. Add the sauce to the chicken and mix well. Cook for a few minutes more until the sauce thickens up. Done!
  5. Serve the chicken immediately. You can use green onions, sesame seeds, or crushed peanuts to garnish.

Notes

  • Feel free to add chili flakes into the sauce if you like it hot. Otherwise, Sriracha sauce works great so you can add it to your plate.
